Driver and Passenger Seats for Bus, Coach and Rail Interiors
We manufacture and supply a range of seats engineered to comply with individual standards for specific end uses. For bus and coach, we offer products that conform to M1 through to M3 seating classifications*. For rail, compliance to EN 45545-2 can also be achieved.
*Vehicle Seating Classification
M1 seating
Vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers and comprising of no more than eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat. Generally, this would include cars, taxis and people carriers.
M2 Seating
Vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers and comprising of more than eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat and having a maximum mass not exceeding five tonnes. Generally, this includes small buses and minibuses.
M3 seating
Vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of passengers and comprising of more than eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat and having a maximum mass exceeding five tonnes. Generally, this would include large buses and coaches.
Our entire non-rail seat collection has been tested in accordance with the above classifications, where M1 is at the higher end of the scale.
