HGV & Motor Mechanic

We have an exciting opportunity for HGV and Motor mechanics to join our ever expanding team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out Fault Diagnosis, Service, Maintenance/Repair on Buses, and other HGV vehicles where required
  • Pneumatic Doors (Training Given)
  • Strong Customer focus around vehicle availability and repairs
  • Work to a high standard of Health and Safety – which imperative to our
    customer promise
  • Adhere to correct working procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to Management/Supervisory staff
  •  To participate in training and development programs

Skills Profile:

  • HGV Mechanic National Craft Qualification essential – Level 6 or above (Bus experience a great advantage) / Equivalent Motor Mechanic Qualification
  • At least 2/3-year post apprenticeship experience essential
  • A good foundation of general electrical experience essential and ability to read diagrams/schematics
  • Good diagnostics skills (Knowledge of Cummins In-Site an advantage)
  • Good knowledge of laptops and Microsoft products
  • Have excellent problem-solving ethics
  • B licence essential (D Licence preferable)
  • Can follow clear instructions and fluent English (oral and written is essential)

Vehicle Body Person

Here at Ardee Coach Trim are now have a great opportunity for an a Vehicle Body Person to come on board and join our ever-expanding team.

We are looking to recruit a talented Vehicle Body Person, who can deliver fantastic results, whilst maintaining a range of vehicles (including PSV and HGV).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carrying out servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles (including PSV and HGV)
  • Working from drawings and schematics, as well as verbal instructions from supervisors
  • Ensuring vehicle reliability and maintenance
  • Safe operation of equipment and/or hand tools used during repair/ assembly
  • Compliance with company’s Health and Safety procedures

Candidates should have:

  • Relevant experience – 2 years minimum
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent English (essential)
  • Can-do attitude
